Aids is a disease that destroys the human body’s natural defenses against sickness. AIDS stands for Acquired Immunodeficiency virus syndrome, it can take more than ten years to develop and most people die within 3 years after being diagnosed.
What causes AIDS?
A virus called “HIV” causes AIDS and other related illnesses. HIV is a relatively weak virus that cannot survive outside the human body. Once it is inside the body, however, HIV cannot be killed.
What is the difference between HIV infection and AIDS? AIDS is the last and most serious stage of HIV infection. HIV infection refers to the period from the time HIV enters the body of the time the infected person become sick. Most infected people have no symptoms and no illness for many years after they are first infected. The longer someone is infected with HIV, however, the more likely that is that they will get a sick.
How is HIV transmitted?
Most people get infected with HIV through SEX because they choose to do certain things that permit HIV to enter their bodies. Most commonly, an infected person passes HIV to an uninfected person during certain kinds of sexual contact, or acts, some people infected through blood transfusions contaminated with HIV.
Cholera
Cholera is a serious infections disease that is caused by several types of bacteria called “cholera vibrio” then the most common offending type are the classical and EIT or variety.
The illness is characterized by sudden and produce diarrhea. The stand is watery, gray and turbid and it best describe as “riceuater” in appearance. Cholera occurs in epidemic proportions under conditions of crowding, nor and famine, and where sanitation is an adequate.
Patients die because of dehydration and therefore the treatment rehydration, or replacement of fluid that are lost because of vomiting and diarrhea. Effective preventive measures include sanitary disposal of faces: through washing of hands before touching food, drinking water, purification of drinking water, central of flies, pasteurization of milk and lastly proper cooking.
